Buck Ridge Fun Run
GVSA will be having our annual Buck Ridge Fun Run on Saturday January 27th.
Registration is from 8:00 - noon at the Buck Ridge Parking lot, just south of the Corral Bar and Restaurant.
The cost for a single hand is $5.00.  Buy as many as you want.  1/2 of the proceeds go to the Avalanche Center with the other 1/2 split between the high and low hands.  50/50 tickets will also be available for purchase.
 A beacon park will be available at the upper station to test your search skills.  One lucky person will win a nice prize so be sure to get a ticket (for the drawing) when done with the search.  Free hotdogs will be available for roasting on the fire.
Be at the Corral by 4:30 for your draw.  Free chili will be provided along with many door prizes.

New trail use permit required
A new trail pass will be required to use groomed trails this year.  Click here for a detailed explanation of the new trail pass.  In summary:
* The pass costs $18
* It is good for 3 years
* It does not replace the (permanent) state registration sticker
* The pass applies to snowmobiles, snow bikes, fat tire bikes and any other mechanized equipment using the groomed trail
* Revenue generated by this pass goes directly to the Montana State Parks Snowmobiling Program which funds the trail grooming programs throughout the state

Click here for a list of local vendors selling the pass.
